Expose xplatform parser module #22

The code I’m currently maintaining has a separate implementation of the xplatform protocol parsing while already using this wonderful library, which, I imagine, is because parsing is inside a private module. Is there any reason behind this or can it just be made public?

No particular reason! I simply didn't think the parser would be useful as a public API at the time. Happy to take a PR exposing it.
