One metaphor that occurs to me is "percent success"; we could also then define "success" in more nuanced terms; for example, partial credit for "focused but not complete" intents (#19)
given that we have already switched to "interrupted" / "distracted" rather than "failed", I think this is good enough. #33 was all about making the experience less negative around failure.
