failure Operation failed on certain operations

What steps will reproduce the problem?
root@prodmog01:~# mogadm fsck clearlog
moglistfids --trackers=127.0.0.1:7001 --fromfid=1 --count=1000

What is the expected output? 
mogadm fsck clearlog should clear the log.  it does not.
moglistfids should list the fids.  it does not.

What do you see instead?
mogadm fsck clearlog outputs: failure Operation failed
moglistfids outputs: Error listing fids: failure Operation failed

What version of the product are you using?
mogilefs-client 1.14
mogilefs-network 0.04
mogilefs-server 2.53
mogilefs-utils 2.20
perlbal 1.79
perlbal-xs-httpheaders 0.20

On what operating system?
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS

list_fids was broken in 2.53, has been fixed in trunk a few weeks ago. need to 
verify the other issue. A 2.54 should be out soon to address this.

fsck clearlog doesn't fail for me either. Are you still getting errors with 
that?

Can you watch a tracker's !watch field while running `mogadm fsck clearlog` - 
it shoul d print the actual error.
