Using HA 2023.12.1 or 2024.1.1 beta I have no luck getting my thermostats to work in home assistant. It works well using the web UI.
Any suggestions?

I had the exact same problem today. The MQTT ID must be "eq3_" to working with this version.
I created a fork and fixed the problem here: https://github.com/Tropby/esp32_mqtt_eq3
