Hi All,
Apologies for being non-responsive on this.
I will look into getting genbankr back into bioc for the april release, though I haven't worked through what is broken just yet.
Will keep you apprised.

Hi, Quickly wanted to ask if you are still planning to fix the issue or if there are any news? Asking because it seems that genbankr has now been removed instead of being brought back.
Anyone know any alternatives? I respect calling it quits on maintaining an open source project, but now a slow-burning project of mine is broken.
I wrote a function to parse and load GenBank files in R. It is part of the geneviewer package. Maybe you could use it?
Hi,
I came across this package which potentially could be very useful for a new project. When I look your page on Bioconductor I am not sure if it makes sense to invest time to learn how to use your package:
Will you solve this issue and further maintain the software?
Best, Christian
