Hi thanks in advance for your great work

I have 2006 Beetle but had to buy new instrument cluster as old one failed. I'm getting the unsupported cluster message. I tried beta 88, 89 and 90 just to check. None of the mem dump commands work for me. They do cause my cluster to make a weird noise and it displays an odd word or message that looks like "ter" Here's the top few lines from kw1821test: ECU: 1C0920501PX KOMBI+WEGFAHRS. M73 V03 Software Coding 15234, Workshop Code: 00000 Unhandled exception: System.InvalidOperationException: Unsupported cluster version.

Is there a way to pull my cluster version? Im stumped

(Since this is not an Audi TT cluster, please don't add to the Audi TT thread)

Can you try the following command (replace COM1 with the actual COM port that you're using)?

kw1281test COM1 9600 17 DumpMarelliMem 14336 2048

Then please attach kw1281test.log and the .bin file that is created if the dump command works successfully.

That makes my cluster produce a weird noise then display blanks for a second and shows  “tqr” where the q is more like a reversed 9 . Then cluster returns to normal and kw1281 times out. This is a new cluster fyi with red screen , I think old one was blue . New old stock off eBay shows 0 miles Sorry about wrong thread , lmk if I need to reply elsewhere. No bin file. Sent from my iPhoneOn Mar 24, 2024, at 7:35 PM, Greg Menounos @.***> wrote: (Since this is not an Audi TT cluster, please don't add to the Audi TT thread) Can you try the following command (replace COM1 with the actual COM port that you're using)? kw1281test COM1 9600 17 DumpMarelliMem 14336 2048

Could you attach the kw1281test.log? It'll give me some more detailed info about the cluster.

You didn't attach anything. You can't email the attachment. You need to visit the web site and drag/drop the file into the "Paste, drop, or click to add files" area at the bottom of the comment editor.
