If a new message is received, the LED bar of my device lights up different colour than what I have set in the settings.
Replication method
Set a colour for the LED
Receive a message
Inspect LED
Details
Sony Xperia SP
AICP Lollipop 16th December Nightly (yes, custom ROM, CyanogenMod based)
Bug prolly has been there since I first started using AwSMS
Other notes
I have tested some other colours and so far this is what i have tested:
Light Green - yellow
Green - I dont how to describe, but its like a bleached pine green (almost to white)
Teal - Green
Brown - White
Cyan - Cyan
Red - Red (the reddest red you can ever see for a LED)
Okay so far those are what I have tested by texting myself after changing individual colours. I am guessing this has something to do with the HEX value, as the Cyan and Red is showing up properly (maybe red is not, because its a reddest red). I cant try all of them as doing this tests actually charged my credit balance in my prepaid account lol.
And as an interesting note, QKSMS also have this problem too on my device. It has a very little colour choices compared to AwSMS, but the mislighting colour is there indeed.
WhatsApp LED colour options, shows up correct based on what colour I chose.. Hence the reason why I theorised this might have to do with HEX value.
While we are at it, I would like to suggest to allow a person to select his own unique HEX value (colour picker) for the LED.
