Slack? Discord? Mattermost? Canvas?

Personal opinion: Slack: I like it, and it used to be a standard for developer communities, but as Gustavo said the onboarding is a bit more unintuitive or such. It also doesn't seem to work on my work computer because the it department are paranoid or something. Discord: My preferred choice.
Mattermost: no experience, any relevant advantages you think make it relevant? Canvas: Not good for social or chat discussions, though obviously we should use it for the other stuff.
