Currently the player has full control of their character's movement while in a jump attack. However, this is not the intended implementation. To quote from the QA document,
"Once you initiate a jump attack, horizontal control should be locked, in the direction you were moving at the start of the attack. Like a dive attack.
BANANA is unique: when he initiates Jump Attack all horizontal movement & momentum should be stopped, akin to a “slam,” or in this case: a Banana Split (haha)"
