The collision for the arena on the left side is not present due to it being where the player comes in from. As such, if the player uses the basic attack only (only the first hit) Frankenpine can be pushed out of the playable area on the left side and the only way to get them back into the arena is to grab them and throw them back into the middle of the arena.
