Thanks, but what triggered this need for change? Was the build failing earlier?

No, but you weren't actually running an ant test earlier.

Ah ok. But two observations:

There are no ant tests defined. We have are own set of integrated tests, the details of which are in the file misc/runTests.sh.
Even if ant tests were defined, you need to pass the ant build script as an option to ant, with the -f argument.
