It runs in a Proxmox LXC container, connected to a 2.5gbps switch via 1gbps NIC and a CAT6 UTP cable.
MySpeed suggests that I average ~400mbps down and ~100mbps up while speedtest.net suggests I am getting more than my ISPs allotted 1000mbps down AND up. what could cause this discrepancy?
These two test were performed consecutively and not cherry picked for any specific result.

Which operating system is your MySpeed instance running on?
It appears that changing my provider from cloudfare to OOKLA corrects the discrepancy and provides realistic results. Unsure why cloudfare is so bad but this may work for you if you are experiencing this problem
