That blog post is nearly five years old and I still see RSS available everywhere I go so I really can't see how Mozilla is 'killing' RSS. If anything it's just something nobody ever figured out how to use and/or didn't have a use for. Either way, this really isn't something for a specific theme to address. Are you going to ask the makers of all the thousands upon thousands of Firefox themes to do this?
I suggest to color the RSS button into orange as it is, naturally, the most appropriate color for RSS.

How do you know?

No, but, please, do not ask questions of mockery.
For record, themes Silvermel und Charamel by ShareBird do have orange RSS buttons.
Mozilla is killing RSS, please turn RSS icon into orange, and, if feasible, put it back in the address bar, if RSS button is located on the right side of the address bar.
