Bookmarks are not stored #2012

Hi,

so first of all there is this old issue, but its closed: https://github.com/gnunn1/tilix/issues/769

Iam using Manjaro i3 edition. I installed tilix via pacman -S tilix

whenever i create a bookmark, it gets "stored" until i restart tilix. Important here to note is that the .config/tilix/bookmarks.json is not getting any updates. I already have some bookmarks stored there (these bookmarks are NOT somehow deleted/overriden), but whenever i add a new bookmark the file doesnt change.

Also interesting that the bookmarks are getting deleted the moment i restart tilix two times:

  1. Open tilix
  2. add bookmarks
  3. close tilix via exit
  4. open tilix again. The bookmark is there
  5. close tilix a second time. The bookmarks are not there

Is there any way to "fix" the bookmarks? I have no problem doing some workarounds, like copying some files after each restart of tilix or whatever.

I have this same problem with Tilix 1.9.5 on Fedora 36. The bookmarks don't get saved as ~/.config/tilix/bookmarks.json is not created.

Same problem here, I use Tilix on EndeavorOS(Arch based) and could not save any bookmarks at all.

As long as there are not sensible data:

chmod 777 ~/.config/tilix/bookmarks.json
