Couldn't this be a bug in Pop!OS first?
I actually have this problem too. I just opened up the Tilix preferences for the first time in forever, and the Preferences window doesn't respond to any mouse (or keyboard) events whatsoever, I can't do anything with it. I have to kill
the tilix process and launch tilix again to get past it. I'm running Debian Sid. Seems unlikely it would be a Pop OS specific bug.
Edit: I just moved my ~/.zshrc
out of the way, so it started with a "fresh" configuration, and the Preferences window is usable again. So it must be something in my ~/.zshrc
that's causing it. I'll see if I can track down what's going on.
Edit 2: Oh, LOL. I have three screens, and when I was opening up the Preference window, on my third screen I had a "Configuration Issue Detected" popup. This popup was preventing my usage of the Preference window. So, at least in my case, it's PEBKAC!
On POP!OS 21.10 the preferences window does not respond to UI events and cannot be moved, resized or closed and it does not respond to interaction with any of the fields or controls. The only way to close the preferences window is to right-click on the app icon in the dock and choose close window.
