Shortcut "Open in Tilix"? what is it? #2128

Open BarbzYHOOL opened 1 year ago

BarbzYHOOL commented 1 year ago

In the shortcuts, there is a section "Nautilus" and "Ctrl + alt + T = open in Tilix" When I press it in tilix, it does nothing except my cursor disappears When I press this in Nautilus, it does nothing

So what is it about?

thanks

This shortcut used to work (I remember using it some times ago) but now seems indeed to be broken. Probably due to some changes in Gnome desktop or Nautilus that have not been changed in Tilix code. The only thing that work is installing the tilix-nautilus package (it is its name in Fedora) to enable the right-clic menu option Open in Tilix in Nautilus.

thanks, is it also working with Nemo?

Btw I checked in Nautilus and I have "Open Tilix here", not sure what it is from

I am not sure there an equivalent with Nemo, never used it, but you might be interested in the 2.4 2.4 and 3.1 sections of this page: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Nemo#Change_the_default_terminal_emulator_for_Nemo

The Open Tilix here action in Nautilus comes from the tilix-nautilus package (or another similar name depending on your distro).
