Strange behavior #3

This code seems to have mistakes. Refer the comments I left in the PR for more details

Just a small note: please use mailing lists for discussions and questions. Pull requests are not intended for chatter. :-)

While we do accept PRs (as long as copyright assignment paperwork was filed with FSF, etc), even pull requests were originally intended to be disabled on this repo, just like issues. (We accept issues on Savannah.)

I will close this pull request, as it isn't one, and will start to look into removing more of this old code after the next GNUstep release.
