How to Transfer Asus DDNS? #425

Open hy-net opened 1 year ago

hy-net commented 1 year ago

Asus Router Apps doesn't recognize router with Merlin firmware.

May I know how can I transfer the DDNS name to a new router?

Thanks in advance

Change the ddns URL to a different one in your old Router, wait up to 24h (sometimes just minutes)and register your old ddns to your new Router.

@TrilIiard what if my router damaged? Is there a way for me to export / backup the existing DDNS entry?

I dont know if you can do that, but at the end of this Page you can contact asus to remove it...

https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1035881/

If none of the above methods are applicable, please provide the following information to your local ASUS call center:

  1. The serial number of your previous router. (You can find it on the back label of your router)

  2. The MAC address of your previous router. (You can find it on the back label of your router)

  3. The DDNS host name.

ASUS technical centers will take several working days to remove the registered DDNS host name. After that, you can register the domain name to your new router.
