Router Model Affected Models: TUF-AX3000

Firmware Version Affected 3004.388.8_2-gnuton1 3004.388.8_0-gnuton0_alpha1

Describe the bug No differences in IPTABLES No config changes whatsoever

Can connect externally if I ssh into the router - eg I can ping google.com I cannot ping from my PC via a network cable via WiFi works fine

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Plug an actual cable into the router
  2. Turn off your WiFi
  3. Try to use your PC
  4. Report back

Screenshots You can see the two separate pings running simultaneously, and the top one is not responding at all, while the bottom one from the router itself works fine. Screenshot_2024-08-26_19-47-35

Nope just a V1. Your issue is not the same... clearly.... Stop hijacking other people's issues

Hi, "No differences in IPTABLES No config changes whatsoever" is true, then the problem is on the client side, isn't it?

Troubleshooting Suggestions: Check the Ethernet Cable and Port: Ensure that the Ethernet cable and port on both your PC and the router are functioning correctly. Try using a different cable or port if available.

Verify IP Configuration on the PC: Ensure that your PC is receiving a valid IP address from the router when connected via Ethernet. You can check this by running ipconfig (on Windows) or ifconfig (on Linux/Mac) in the terminal.

Router LAN Settings: Double-check the LAN settings on the router to ensure that the DHCP server is enabled and properly configured.

Compare IPTABLES for WiFi and Ethernet Interfaces: While you mentioned no differences in IPTABLES, it might be helpful to specifically compare the rules related to WiFi and Ethernet interfaces to identify any discrepancies.

Bro....

The cable doesn't just stop working for one specific update, and then start working again when I roll back using the exact same settings and everything unchanged.

Why would I be able to log in to the WebUI, but not to an external website? As well as be able to ssh into the router. That indicates everything is set up fine.

Just to clarify, it's a guest network that I'm using for WiFi that is working.

And I've tested this 8 times without changing any settings whatsoever. And it works fine when I roll back. I've gone back and forth over and over, and the FW version is the only thing that has changed.

I'm running Arch Linux btw. I'm not a noob.

Try it bro

It's not a settings issue. It's a firmware issue. I know that'd be nice and easy for it to be a settings issue. But it's not.

This is the first time this issue has happened in like 18 firmware versions in a row.
