Sorry if this isn't the place to post this but I've not found another suitable
forum and reading some of the issues already discussed shows some measure of
expertise that I would kindly ask for assistance.
I've been very impressed with the Vigor products having previously owned a
2880VG and now both a 2130n and AP 800.
The 2130 and AP are currently set up using WDS with no issues.
However, the AP is located in a rental unit, so I would like an SSID that is
only available from the AP and all the physical ports of the AP to be able
access each other and the internet over the WDS link to the 2130.
All the physical ports of the 2130 and the main SSID to be on a separate VLAN
2130:
WAN: internet
SSID: main
Port 1-4: main
WDS
AP:
SSID: main [happy to drop this if it is easier to put the whole AP in a different VLAN]
SSID: rental
Port 1-4: rental
WDS
I'm technically literate with enough experience on the command line but I have
little experience with Linux networking.
I've dug around the 2130 (telnet), so I now where all the config files are but
I'm not clear on what I would need to do create this 2 vlan setup across a WDS
link.
I hope this make sense.
Cheers
-Alun.
