This is less of a problem and more of a request.
Please provide us with current information of compatible 3.5G devices.
The Release Notes just say "Improved: Support more 3G devices."
Additionally I would like to know if I can attach an USB-hub to connect more 
than 2 USB devices.

I agree, in general the change log is way to limited.
Please explain in somewhat more detail what has changed.

The 3G modem support list can be found in draytek web site:
http://www.draytek.com/user/SupportFAQDetail.php?ID=1993

If your modem is not in the list, you can contact with draytek support.
Maybe can provide you the beta firmware for your modem.

Of course, you can connect more than 2 usb devices (modem/disk/printer) by 
attaching a usb hub.
