VPN PPTP with Firmware 1.5.1 Final STILL NOT WORKING #31

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
I made a clear FW upgrade with the .rst File, which is for corrupted Firmwares.
But also that did not change anything: VPN still does not work, also not with
the final RC of FW 1.5.1

Now I also tried to connect to the VPN SERVER (the Vigor) in the local LAN,
does also not work. Within the LAN the Vigor does not even recognize any VPN
Demand from the Client.

Here again the logread from the connection-testing witch an absolute clean
installation of the router:

Additional Information: The problem must be the router, because I set up an
UBUNTU Server 10.04 and made a VPN Pass-through to it, and then it works.
So I am absolutely sure THE VPN SERVER OF THE ROUTER IS THE PROBLEM

It seems you have multiple PC behind the same NAT connect to 2130.
You can refer to

I'm able to connect to 2130 via PPTP with 1.5.1 firmware. However, I cannot
access to 2130 after connection is made while I can access other PCs in the
LAN. So I'm sure the VPN is connected. Therefore, I need to change DNS in
options.pptpd to google DNS instead of 2130 IP for VPN web browsing.

It's all fine in fireware 1.5.0.1. Please kindly fix it.

@ Comment 2:

But why did it then wort with the UBUNTU Server VPN instead of the Vigor VPN ?
There is no change on any client inside LAN and outside LAN. Only change is the
VPN Server...

For what it's worth, I also have issues connecting an iPhone to my Vigor using
VPN. The VPN connects but after that there's no network traffic possible from
my iPhone to my network/internet.

Didn't have the issues before one of the RC's of 1.5.1 so I agree that there
must be something wrong with the vpn server...

I am glad that someone else has also problems with that issue. The posts here
gave me the feeling, that I have the problem but now I am definitely sure its
the router who has the problem...

Have you check the MPPE settings in "VPN and Remote Access >> Remote Access
Control"
*MPPE Required

If you don't enable it, try to enable it.

of course i checked this. but since i upgraded to FW 1.5.1 also L2TP is not
working any more. the only way to get L2TP to work is to set the options.l2tp
with the property "noauth". something has been changed in the vpn-service with
this update of the firmware. nothing works anymore

Dear all,
I've recently installed a draytek vigor 2130 (firmware 1.5.1) and I'm also
experiencing some problems with setting up vpn-connections. The PPTP seems to
work fine (either lan or wan side), however IPSEC/L2TP only works when I
connect to the lan-ip of the vigor 2130. Have any of you been able to get
access to the IPSEC/L2TP from the wan-ip side of the vigor 2130?

Cheers
