I am happy for other people to create their dream homes however they see fit. I just would like to be able to take some nice photos of the front of my house without having my neighbor's Gingerbread house with the 30 Namazu statues jammed into the front yard looming behind it.
EDIT: I have been made aware that this is somewhat of a touchy subject. My apologies for not being more sensitive to the community attitudes towards player housing, it was not my intent to come off like an HOA Karen or anything!
My proposal is a plugin that would allow players to change the exterior of someone else' house on a plot-by-plot basis, or perhaps even a simple swap (e.g. change all Paissa exteriors to Glade exteriors). A more advanced idea would be to allow for the visibility of outdoor furniture to be toggled on and off. A simple version of that idea would be to simply have all outdoor furnishings turned on or off; a more complex version of that same idea would be able to selectively turn individual items on or off.
I am very thankful to have a house in FFXIV, and I am also not the kind of person who demands uniformity in the housing wards. I just really don't want to have to see Chocobos burning in a bonfire every time I want to go to the nearest marketboard. ;_;
