2 years ago My friend is looking for something like this as well. A button to toggle from switching to a free mouse cursor or having it act as a if you're holding down the mouse button. Similar to how games like Black Desert or Blade and Soul do it by using CTRL or ALT as the toggle.
A bonus would be to have the left and right mouse buttons act as hotkeys when in the Free Camera mode.
A possible method is to somehow have the mouse emulate a controller's Right Analog stick as that pretty much functions as a Free Camera already.

A simple plugin with a custom keybind to toggle it on/off and a modifier key that toggles the mouse cursor on, when held. It would make the camera work almost the same way as in most MMOs that don't have a tab target system and use a free camera instead. It would be possible, because ffxiv already has an option by default, that allows you to cycle through targets without having to click on anything.
May be possible to integrate it to Simple Tweaks, since it's just one tweak.
