Addresses #112 for Promise-based transforms while the callback-based transforms are being worked out.

I've added a test case for this and it's the first time I've done one, so please review whether it is appropriate and in the correct place.

(Even though the Windows builds have a failed test, it doesn't seem to have anything to do with what I modified)
