I'm wondering if this is because I had some old AirPods still listed in Bluetooth preferences? Having removed these I think it now works...

godbout commented 3 months ago

can you share the Alfred's debug now that it works?

i'm far from being an expert with bash scripting so most probably the script is not handling some case that i've never had to deal with yeah lol

Actually I realise I renamed my Airpods name too - previously it had an apostrophe (') and a hash (#) - maybe these were also causing issues...

hmm. maybe the #? or just part of the script that grabs too much info yeah. still poor here. only one pair... ☹️🥺️

i'll try adding shit characters in mine and see what it does. will keep you updated.

Can confirm: Removing old AirPods so there is only one in the memory of the Mac, plus removing the special characters made it work again :)

Thank you! I can see myself using this a good 5-10 times a day every day 😄

my own AirPods Pro got a ' in the name and it works fine. but i haven't dug yet. maybe the # is giving problems. if it's an issue with two AirPods Pro then i'll have to wait for the next pair lol

welcome. enjoy. i used it a few minutes before you posted the issue myself hehe

added a # and it works. so it seems it's an issue of having several pairs somehow. thought it was handled but not fully sure. will test more when i have the change to have another pair hehe.
