listing a directory on windows sometimes doesn't work #22

It seem some people complain that anki can't accept some data paths and fails to load assets.

Hi, so currently you can't run the samples on Windows? builds ok now with MinGW, but getting these errors:

Hi,

Sorry for the late update (was away). Can you pull the latest commit and try again? I've added more helpful error messages.

no worries and just got back to this. I cloned the latest and here's what I got:
