Account recovery help #332

Hello? I hope this is the right place for this type of support, as i couldn't find any contact info on the Asset Library's website itself.

I am the owner of the account named pew;, and my only addon so far is GodotXML (repository, which is also linked back from the asset's page). Today i wanted to make a quick bugfix release (v2.1.1), but when i finished writing changelogs and making GitHub releases, i found that i was logged out of my account on the Asset Library. I can't remember my password (i have three password "schemes" that i've used at one or another point in time, and none worked here) and i also can't remember which email i linked this account to (i tried all emails i used, again, at different times for different purposes, but none of them had any mail from Asset Library; also, upon searching for "Asset" in all of these emails, i found no matches even though i remember resetting password at least once. strange).

My request is to help me find out which email i've used for my Asset Library account, e.g. tell me a few letters from the beginning and a few from the end. Hopefully from there i'll be able to restore my account through the usual Asset Library machinery. Thank you in advance.

The email address associated to that account is of the form pur********vno@gmail.com.

Thank you, however this email was one of those that i've tried with no success previously, and trying it again now also yielded no results, there is no mail from the Asset Library (including in the "Spam" folder). The "forgot password" page says "Password sent to \<email>" and that's it. I tried creating a new account (testaccount if that's any helpful), logging in, out, and going through the "Forgot Password" procedure (with a different email), and also haven't received any mail. May it be the case that Asset Library's "mail sender" is broken in some way?

Can you send an email from the account's email address to contact@hugo.pro to confirm you have access to the email address in question? I can reset the password for you this way.

Sent a message from the email in question with contents of "Email access confirmed!" and ref/topic being the link to this issue. Should be enough?

Yes, check your email for the password :slightly_smiling_face:
