TL;DR for socials (@MurderVeggie):

• Finally a new beta for 3.6, a year after the first beta
• Lots of 3D performance optimizations, such as discrete Level of Detail and mesh merging
• 3.6 now feature complete, focusing on bug fixes to get to stable release
