Have you tried updating your drivers? Or rebooting? I'm asking because you say you haven't updated and unclear if you've followed those instructions 🙂

I have rebooted my computer, reinstalled Godot, and updated drivers. still have the error

When I said I hadn't updated, I meant that I hadn't updated before the error, so it can't be because of an update

Why not try to download NVidia's game ready drivers? I have searched the most latest one for your GPU: https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/drivers/results/217060/

Worked for my GT 740M considering the fact its so old

@Fajrero50 Which NVIDIA driver version are you using? You can check this by pressing Windows + R, entering dxdiag, clicking OK, accepting the signature check and going to the Display tab. Look on the right for the Drivers box.

Also, try forcing Godot to run on the dedicated GPU in the NVIDIA Control Panel. You can do this in the Manage 3D settings menu of that panel and creating a profile for the Godot executable, then change the graphics processor to High-performance NVIDIA processor.
