Tested versions

4.2.1-stable

System information

Godot v4.2.1.stable - Windows 10.0.19045 - Vulkan (Forward+) - dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER (NVIDIA; 31.0.15.5186) - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core Processor (16 Threads)

Issue description

I sometimes get BSOD when pressing exactly the "Stop Running Project (F8)" button on godots UI. I work almost every day in godot and it occurs usually a few hours in after already clicking it multiple times. happens about 2-3 times per week. Tested multiple applications/games closed/opened them multiple times. only happens with godot and so far only when pressing that specific button. I will attach one of the dump files. Its BUGCHECK_CODE: 119, BUGCHECK_P1: 3000 . P1=0x3000 is also not really documented on microsofts side. Already checked for memory, faulty disk/partition, drivers (new and old). Maybe its faulty hardware, but it's kinda new and also it only happens in that specific godot scenario. maybe someone can help. thanks in advance :) Specs: OS: WIN 10 GPU: 4080 super (newest driver) CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core Processor MOBO: Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX (newest BIOS) SSD: WD_Black SN850X

dump.txt

Will update, should I get more useful info.

Steps to reproduce

click the "Stop Running Project (F8)" after running a project.

Minimal reproduction project (MRP)

not project specific BSOD.zip

I doubt this is a Godot-specific issue, as I've never been able to reproduce this on Windows despite using a similar configuration.

PC specifications - **CPU:** Intel Core i9-13900K - **GPU:** NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 - **RAM:** 64 GB (2×32 GB DDR5-5800 C30) - **SSD:** Solidigm P44 Pro 2 TB - **OS:** Windows 11 23H2

This is likely an issue with your system, but just to make sure:

sry, forgot the PSU in the specs. its 1000W. no undervolting/overclocking on anything. ill try working this week with compatibility and update if anything happens

An Nvidia driver issue was causing mysterious BSOD for me a while ago in a sporadic way similar to this. The fix for it was disabling Windows 10 "fast startup" (and then restarting). Might be worth trying.

I am getting the exact same BSOD with the exact same error code (0x3000) in the exact same scenario (close godot game in project) edit: actually this time it happened as i was re-running a program over so I didn't manually close the project (F8) but instead had the editor close and reopen it

So far it has only happened to me twice and I was scared my computer is dying but this is too strange a coincidence. I found this issue by googling godot + video scheduler error on the off chance that someone else ran into the same thing.

I'm also on W10, no under/overclocking and a beefy PSU.

I've been on compatibility renderer for a few weeks now trying to reproduce it there as well. So far only on Forward+, but I've also been psychologically conditioned to not press that button anymore so I didn't click it as often as before. :)

Getting the same thing for a while now as well. Disabling fast startup didn't seem to fix it.

It seems to mostly happen on Forward+ and Mobile rendering, had it happen on version 4.1 and 4.2. On 4.3 beta 2 it also happened with Compatibility.
