As a work around it isn't too hard to tap the exit button after a call, but I
see
your point.

An option not to register is more appropriate. When you make a call, sip should
automatically authenticate the INVITE method.

I only placing outgoing calls through SipDroid, and only SipDroid, but almost
never
receive a calls to Sip line, so I wold like to save battery energy while I'm
not in
call but also do not open each time SipDroid app when need to place a call

Others use SIP as a fully-functional and good-audio-quality landline, so not
registering is kind of silly. Perhaps an option to not register is OK, but I
think
it would be kind of odd to desire to 'break' the telephone for most of us.

I think the issue title is a bit off, maybe prepend "Option to", which is what
I desire.

I agree with this request it, for how I use VOIP it would be nicer on my
battery if it
just registered when I actually needed to call someone.

I agree, this option is needed. I don't use sipdroid 99 calls out of 100, and
it simply drains my battery by using wifi. Connecting to SIP server only when
making a call would be a brilliant option.
