Why canvas resize doesn't works on iOS 8 ?

I am trying to get this working on iOS 8 as well and am having trouble. I'm getting an error:

TypeError: null is not an object (evaluating 'dataURL.split')
/canvasResize.js Line 253

There is a safari bug, read here.
