[Others]Lectures and Assignments #117

Dear TAs. I think there is some discrepancy between lectures and assignments. Actually at the very last assignment, Practice Session 5-#Q3, you mentioned on the icampus notice that we should use 'arrays' for the solution. The thing is that, we didn't learn it from the last week's lectures but we are learning 'arrays' from this week's lecture. (+So I can't complete that question at last..)

I'm not sure that you or professor intended it for the meaning of 'prior learning', but since lecture contents are getting more and more complicated, it becomes harder for us to solve assignments. If I'm not wrong, can you please check for the issue?

Originally(in offline case) those assignments are given in class. For example, you take 1 hour of theory lecture from the professor and in the next 2-3 hours, I give practice sessions/assignments that are based on the theory lecture contents that are taught on the same day.

Students are intended to study the lecture and implement the assignment in the same week. However, I know it is hard for you to implement everything in such a short time so the deadlines are at least 2 weeks ahead of the related lecture/ assignment.

As you can see, the deadline for Practice session 5 is 26th April so you have 2 weeks to finish the assignment (in that case there is no prior/pre-learning). You have to study the lectures in the same week they are given then start implementing the assignments from that week up to 2 weeks deadline.

I will take into consideration your suggestion/comment and try to make the questions easier but please try to understand that 2 weeks period is enough to study the lecture and also code the assignment (Usually students code the assignments in class within 2-3 hours). But since it is an online class and it is really hard to try to help students to solve the practice session problem I really appreciate and encourage you to ask me as many questions as possible after you study the lecture and once you understand everything you will have around 10 days to implement the assignment.

Oh, I checked for all contents and now I understand what we mean. Since there were some hard 2~3 weeks concerning the massive amount of assignments with not updated deadlines, I was confused about the course. Sorry for that.
