Hacker looking for a team #17

Background

I'm a software engineer and data scientist based. For my day job, I work on translating open source medical imaging analysis tools into clinical applications. Personally, I'm interested in open science, data visualization and workflows.

I first heard of Golem Network browsing gitcoin for the Grants Round 9 Hackathon, and it seems like an interesting project to expand access to computation for all.

I'm working through the basics of how it all works, and would like to join a team to either work on a more fully flushed out idea, or brainstorm to come up with a topic. Ideally, I'd like to submit something for the Open Track or MITSolve Social Good prizes, but may not be able to make the time commitment. The main goal would be to gain an understanding of the Golem ecosystem and community through building something.

Skills

I have experience with Python, mostly in data analysis and visualization and not much web-related work. I also work a lot with medical images (specifically brain MRI) and working on software medical/healthcare devices.
