Hi,
I do see the same behavior here (samsung galaxy).
Actually, is even more annoying: sipdroid seems to start automatically even
after,
for example, activating wifi.
No need for a full restart.
As much as I love this app, I'd rather be able to choose when to run it :)
Just for my education, is this a feature or a bug?
Thanks for the great work,
Andrea.

Hi,
just to confirm that I see the same behavior reported in issue 131, i.e.
taskkiller
reports sipdroid resurrecting every few minutes.
Thanks for the great work,
Andrea.

Yes, not only that it doesn't start on boot. But also that it doesn't keep a
persistent service running. That would happen if you were to use sipdroid, then
disable it. Please let us shut it down completely, a persistent service consumes
resources and battery.
Thank you very very much,

The apps will be totaly off.

I agree with the OP on this issue, and also used the same work around - I
installed
autostarts on my rooted N1 and just blocked Sipdroid from launching on a reboot.
Without sipdroid constantly running, I have gotten much better battery life -
probably twice as long. It still launched just fine from the contact list, but
after
a call I have to go back into taskiller and kill it again... Wish it would have
the
option to not auto start and to quit after a call (for those of us who only use
sipdroid for outgoing calls).

That's the reason why I only install Sipdroid if I need it and delete it after
I made my call. It's a great tool, but that behaviour is annoying.
Please fix it, otherwise I have to use other VoIP tools.

I experience same on HTC wildfire(Android 2.1). Every time I make/receive call,
sipdroid starts. This must be configurable so users who don't want it open at
all times can disable it and start only when needed.

Please implement this option. I am also only using SipDroid for outgoing
(intl') calls. Used Autostarts to disable but it requires root so it might not
be an option for others.

Guys, just exit the app and the app won't autostart on next reboot. the issue's
been fixed a few months back.

It doesn't seem to have been solved since it seems to just start anyway when
its connected. can it not be simply on or off when the user wishes??
