Engines will be fully submerged already so the hydroexplosive or crushing methods are not usable

I think for this we'll have to be content with just killing the EC to ensure they dont stay running when detached, (didnt there used to be a setting in the engine cfg for that???} , and call it a day with engines

Agreed. EC Kill is functional
