Fighting Force 64 (U) GFX issue #1741

Open theboy181 opened 6 years ago

theboy181 commented 6 years ago

This GFX issue is intermittent and I was able to press pause when it occurred to create a save game, and picture. There will be a bright square spammed across the screen during game play, and can happen with default GLideN64 settings. I did not experience the issue while using Glide64 Final.

no problems for me here in level 1.2 when using m64p with GLideN64 06746ac...

However, i experienced quite a lot of lag (sound and video) in this level during the fight scene, the first level was fine though when using angrylion plus gfx plugin the lag is just terrible

theboy181 commented 6 years ago

Did you confirm on pj64? Is your screen shot taken from my save? This issue only happens intermittently, regardless of level.

theboy181 commented 6 years ago

4:35 you will see the orange block popping into frame. The health bar is black then fills after this flash. This video was taken with WS hack, but I have tested with it on and off. https://youtu.be/5Qz5vBHNT4c

OK, i wasn't paying attention at first, but the health bar is acting a bit strange yes. when i run around in level 1.2 sometimes it happens that it fills half the screen, after which the health bar is gone. And then appears as normal again. The performance seems improved with the latest master though, could be because im loading a savegame though.

here are some more screenshots of the issue: fighting_force-005 fighting_force-010

I got that bug with health bar. Original bug with pause screen is not reproduced for me. Since the problem lasts just for one-two frame, it will be hard to catch and fix. It can be a core issue as well.

theboy181 commented 6 years ago

can it still be a core issue if id is not happening on other plugins?

gonetz commented 6 years ago

Well, if Glide64 works without issues there, it is hardly a core issue.

No change in current WIP
