@visualmethod Could you try deleting the app from the Apple Watch and then reinstalling the watch app via the system Watch app on iOS? This issue seems to be related to the operating system.
@gongzhang thanks, I’ve followed the steps and the app was reinstalled to the most recent version.
Would it be possible to indicate whether the major OS update could block the watch update? Even in the troubleshooting section may do the trick.

Watch version: 3.9.2 iPhone version: 4.0.0 watchOS version: 9.0 iOS version: 16.0
Current behavior: the watch app doesn’t sync and advises to upgrade the version to the same one as the phone. However, when trying to follow the steps indicated in the settings, the App Store progress bar fills a couple of times and then shows the Update button again.
