can't connect to Gmail to backup #153

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Provide account details
2. Try and do first backup
3. Watch it fail 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I want to see my SMS bring backed up but all I see is failure! The error says 
to check inappropriate settings and passwords. 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Not sure. I am running gingerbread. 7
