vg/vgpdf: performance issues #697

just logging here as well the vgpdf performance issues I've sent upstream:

(note that it seems "upstream" isn't too reactive and hasn't merged nor interacted with PRs since almost a year... I'll give those PR 2 weeks. but we may have to consider again shopping for a new PDF backend...)

ok... it seems my prediction was , unfortunately, spot on.

in the meantime, I've prepared github.com/go-pdf/fpdf that's a drop-in replacement for gofpdf. (except for the s/gofpdf/fpdf/g) should we pull the plug?
