What's the reason for the script?

What's the reason for the script? #27

Why is this script needed if gphoto2 is in the Raspbian repos? Is it only for getting newer versions of gphoto2 before they're added to the repo?

That's it! this script currently installs 2.5.8 version of ghopto2 instead of the 2.4.14-2 version offered in the repos. It means that more cameras are supported.
