Very interested and actually building a custom storefront right now! Would love to use this. However Iβm running into a build bug after installing, will share details when I get on my laptop tmw.
UPDATE: Have opened an issue about it here: https://github.com/good-idea/sane-shopify/issues/27
Hello! Saw you mention this package in the Sanity + Shopify roundtable YouTube vid. Sign me up please
Hi everyone! Thanks for your interest so far ~ ~ Manual syncing is now in a somewhat stable state as of 0.6.3. Webhooks will be coming next, then dealing with archiving sanity documents that are related to products or collections that have been deleted from shopify.
I would not yet recommend using this package in production, but if there are any brave alpha-testers, please give it a shot and open any issues with problems, questions, or suggestions.
Great news!
A comment on webhooks - I was looking at the server package and wondering if it might be possible to separate the logic to make it environment agnostic ie. I plan to host my entire stack with Zeit Now (which would mean removing the AWS specific bit and pieces).
Also I know you have your own roadmap so maybe I'll attempt to tackle this myself but variants are higher up the priority list than deletions for me!

Variant support is much needed for us as well! ππ»
Also how do you guys handle different datasets in Sanity? Say prod vs dev? Deploy a separate studio instance for each?
@chanmathew I haven't got that far but you could check out spaces https://www.sanity.io/docs/spaces

Oh thatβs great thanks!
@chanmathew @homerjam I'll set this up, the @sane-shopify/server
package will have exports for AWS-style lambdas (which Netlify uses) as well as Zeit's Micro framework. Both of these will implement functions that are in the sync-utils
package to do all of the work. They will also be "convenience" functions, for standard events like product updates, etc --- but, I'll also write docs on how to roll your own.
You'll also be able to define the dataset when you create your lambda.
Tracking all of this in a new issue #31

Hi everyone, I've made a new issue to discuss the 1.0 roadmap: https://github.com/good-idea/sane-shopify/issues/40
Also, version 0.6.8
is fairly stable -- a lot of internals might change in the coming weeks, but I don't foresee any breaking changes. At this point it's all about making more sense internally and fixing bugs. Please give it a shot!
Just released 0.7.0
which adds support for fields on product variants

π Hi everyone! I've pushed some new updates with version 0.10.1. It now handles scenarios when products or collections have been deleted from Shopify, and comes with some other fixes.
Very interested, sign me up!

Hi I'm in!
Until this project gets off the ground, this will be my unofficial "mailing list" :) I'll make announcements here.
Please restrict comments to a quick hello to sign up so others who have commented aren't getting too many emails.
If you have any questions about or suggestions for the project, feel free to open an issue, or find me @joseph on the Sanity.io slack channel.
