nested residuals? #7

As I expect this package to be used by many (it's really great!) to check model assumptions, I was wondering if there are any plans to plot nested residuals separately for merMod or aovList objects? In such cases for example, we care not only about the normality and homoscedasticity of the overall residuals, but also about the normality and homoscedasticity of the random effects (as they are the basis for significance tests, for example), which can be thought of as residuals in a rm-ANOVA context.

Thanks again for this great package! I've already added it to my teaching materials!

Thank you for your suggestion and compliments! We hope that many people will find this to be a useful package. The issue you bring up is something that we have discussed, and we definitely would like to include options for this in the package. Hopefully, it will happen sometime in the next few months.
