Nexus S ICS - NullPointerException #585

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Opening the app
2. Using the app

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
A list of options. Limited list as if host is not detected. Selecting the
remote will allow me to use the device and connect, but I only get the remote
instead of the media browser options. Also receive the NullPointerException
error at random intervals.

What version of XBMC Remote are you using?
Latest from Market (v0.8.7-beta1, Revision 807)

Which Android device are you using (and which ROM, if custom)?
Nexus S - Rooted - Htcclay's SuperICS Nexus S v.1.1.1 - Android version 4.0.1,
Kernel version 2.6.35.7-GLaDOS-test+

Which XBMC revision are you running and on which platform?
v10.1, Windows 7

Please provide any additional information below.
Love this remote! Please fix for ICS users! :)

This should not be 'medium' priority (critical?), cannot use the remote app at
all.

Galaxy Nexus (ICS 4.0.1), newly installed 'xbmc remote' app, trying to
configure a XBMC host and on the first attempt to connect getting
'NullPointerException'.

Nexus S - ICS 4.0.1 CGM 9 Alpha 12.

Remote does work, and can control XBMC. Library viewing of any kind is broken.

Confirmed, same here, with Galaxy Nexus stock, mainscreen "Nullpointer
exception"
Appears on app start and then each time I press "Try again to Connect",
however, "Use as Remote Control" works fine, I might have a look and try to fix
this one if I can get the app to build :)
