401 HTTP error on HTC One X #627

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Just buy an HTC One X
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see this app connected to my HTPC running with XBMC, but instead I 
have a warning pop up telling me that my user name/password is incorrect. This 
a 401 HTTP error.

What version of XBMC Remote are you using?
0.8.8 beta from Google Play

Which Android device are you using (and which ROM, if custom)?
HTC One X. Switzerland. SIM unlocked. Original ROM. Not rooted.

Which XBMC revision are you running and on which platform?
XBMC 12 running under Windows 7 Pro

Please provide any additional information below.
I also have Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and everything working fine with exactly same 
config. If I close the pop up message, I can use the remote control option, but 
I have not Video, Music,... displayed on the main menu. This is strange, and it 
bother me...

Om having same problem with a Sensation XE running ADHD 6.6.4 (ICS) with faux 
kernel. XBMC 11 on windows 7

It appears that setting a blank password on XBMC let XBMC Remote to connect, 
even if a password is configured in XBMC Remote !

Anyway, it works but I think this should be resolved because I don't want to my 
configuration without a password...

Si, after a few weeks, it seems that connection issue is still here, but not 
everytime. That makes this app very annoying to use !

I'm searching for an alternative, because I have any answer here, that makes 
this team very poor ! I saw 248 tickets, and there are growing up, but any 
updates are available since 3012...

I'm very frustrated, I have to clear my caches every week, this including to 
reconfigure my host...

I'm seeing this problem too. Have to run without a password for it to work. 
Android Remote on ICS on EVO 4G LTE.

Same problem here with a Motorola DEFY+, rooted, standard rom. Please fix it!
