GUI on pc rapidly cycles through on screen buttons

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. General remote use ie. Browsing video files

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect normal remote use. Instead, totally unusable due to button highlights 
rapidly cycling as though the down arrow is frantically being pressed 
repeatedly.

What version of XBMC Remote are you using?
1.0.9

Which Android device are you using (and which ROM, if custom)?
HTC Desire S, not routed

Which XBMC revision are you running and on which platform?
V12 WIN7 64

Please provide any additional information below.
Also, after selecting a video file, the video plays in fast forward as though 
the skip button is being pressed repeatedly.
