"Next" doesn't proceed to next Card when Text of current Card starts with an Asterisk #106

When there is text in the current card that starts with an asterisk, clicking on "Next" does not step to the next card (see attached video). First I thought it were a problem mit my stream deck setup (was pressing a stream deck button for "Next"). I noticed the same behaviour when using the built-in button, though.

This is because it's seeing the stars as indicating bullet points and sending them out as titles one at a time. The third press would take you to the next slide. Are you using the title feed?

Thank you for the clarification. So it's not a bug, it's a feature. Then I simply won't use asterisks in cards in the future. :)

some clarification as to why I don't show the cards' text anywhere else: In my setup I use multiple monitors, a teleprompter and an iPad. I can see the cards' text right in front of me (not in the teleprompter!), within Beat Sheet and don't send them to any other screen (I don't use the HUD). I use the teleprompter for the eye contact and also to make it easier for me to keep pointing my eyes to the camera. Typically, I display the Ecamm video monitor output in my teleprompter. Especially when I only record a video, it helps me when I see myself. In such a moment I don't really realise that it is me who I am looking at. Seeing the Beat Sheet text in the output (teleprompter or on the iPad) would distract me from behaving naturally and increase my cognitive load. At least this is what I have experienced. And on the iPad, where I use Video Pencil, the text would obstruct what I am annotating with the pencil.

Thanks for detailing your use case - always useful. To be clear, you'd never send your speaker notes / teleprompter text into the feed, this is a special feature that generates a Syphon/NDI feed with titles and graphics that can be brought into Ecamm.

I won't close this issue until I can maybe find a way to detect whether the feed is being used.
