Hi

I did the same project (actually was enspired by some of your code)
And I guess I did it much better than your current version

You can see/try it here from attachment - it have a sample with the same
models that in your wiki

So it support:
 - annotation
 - aggregation
 - group-by
 - group-by with lookups
 - django-admin filterspecs
 - date_hierarhy
 - showing grouping details
 - and many more

I hope that this "patch" will land into django-reporting repo

I'm not using django-reporting anymore, and I don't have time to maintain it. 
Do you 
want to be a commiter of this project, and apply your patch by yourself?

Do you need to be project owner to do it? Doesn't work being commiter?

files..
