What's weird is the tutorial instructions say enable "Tango Supported" in the XR Settings, but in my Unity, it says "ARCore Supported". Not sure if one or the other is outdated.
I also experienced this issue on Samsung SM-G950F. Android studio example worked correctly
The same problem with Pixel XL using unity 2017.2b10
Ditto...any luck?
2017.2b10 s8 SM-G950U
This is a bug occurs only on Unity 2017.2.0b10 build, we are looking into it internally. In the meantime, you could use Unity 2017.2.0b9 temporarily.
AAAA Thank you thank you!!! It works.

Great! I will keep this issue open for now, and close it whenever there's a real fix in place.
Now that 2017.2 has been out of beta for a while, I'm closing this issue.
I followed the instructions in the Unity Hello AR example, installed the latest ARCore service, but it never tracks any surfaces. Gets stuck at "Searching For Surfaces". (The Hello AR Java example works fine on the same phone). I get this error in logcat:
